Given the opportunity, Kindel showed why the Penguins selected him 11th overall in 2025. He put together an impressive rookie campaign in his first post-draft year, racking up 17 goals, 18 assists, 151 shots on net, 58 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating. He also earned 10 power-play points and two shorthanded points, showcasing his potential as a future leader for Pittsburgh. At just 19 years old, there's some risk of a sophomore slump, but there's also plenty of potential for him to elevate his game significantly. A best-case scenario would land him around the 50-point mark with increased power-play minutes and an uptick in shots.
