2025 Fantasy Outlook
Joshua was limited to 57 games in 2024-25, and he produced 14 points, 193 hits, 38 PIM and a minus-13 rating. Two absences, one while recovering from surgery and the other for a leg injury, interrupted his campaign, and the Canucks' overarching problems throughout the year can be blamed for the rest of his decline from a 32-point 2023-24. Joshua is an ultra-physical forward, capable of racking up over 200 hits per year. His offense will be dependent on his linemates to some extent, but he can push for 25-plus points as well. Now with Toronto following an offseason trade, a bounce-back year would give the 29-year-old fantasy appeal in deep formats. Read Past Outlooks

First point with new team
Joshua logged an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Predators.
ANALYSIS
Joshua earned his first point in four games with the Maple Leafs. He's been a fixture on the fourth line to start 2025-26, adding seven hits, two blocked shots and a minus-4 rating. Joshua had a career-high 32 points for the Canucks in 2023-24, but he dipped to 14 points in 57 outings in 2024-25. It'll be tough for him to improve on that output if he remains in a fairly limited role.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Joshua established himself as a regular in the NHL during the 2022-23 campaign and set new career highs last season with 18 goals and 32 points across 63 regular-season contests. Although he's a late bloomer, the Michigan native is 28 years old, so further growth shouldn't be anticipated. Unfortunately, Joshua underwent surgery for testicular cancer during the offseason and won't be ready at the start of the campaign. In other words, don't expect him to finish above the 30-40 point range this season. Joshua is a gritty forward, though, which gives him some added versatility in fantasy leagues.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Likely heading to Toronto
Joshua will likely be traded to the Maple Leafs from the Canucks on Thursday in exchange for a 2028 fourth-round pick, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Joshua spent the last three seasons in Vancouver, but he had a downturn in production during the 2024-25 campaign after missing the start of the year due to surgery to address testicular cancer. Once he was healthy, he recorded seven goals, seven assists, 193 hits and 29 blocked shots while averaging 12:58 of ice time over 57 regular-season appearances. He has experience with head coach Craig Berube from his time with the Blues, so Joshua could benefit from his change of scenery.
