ANALYSIS
Blomqvist, a 2020 second-round pick, has played well in the minors this season, compiling a 4-2-0 record while posting an admirable 1.91 GAA and .920 save percentage. Meanwhile, the three goalies currently on Pittsburgh's roster -- Tristan Jarry, Magnus Hellberg, Alex Nedeljkovic -- have combined to post a sub-par .891 save percentage through the first 10 games of the campaign. Jarry is locked in as the big club's No. 1 netminder, but if Hellberg and Nedeljkovic are unable to turn things around, Blomqvist could get a look in the NHL at some point in 2023-24.
