2025 Fantasy Outlook
Dostal appears to be the Ducks' goalie of the future, and the future is getting really close as the team is nearly out of its rebuild. However, the 25-year-old netminder still has some things to work on. He had a 23-23-7 record with a 3.10 GAA and a .903 save percentage over 54 games in 2024-25. Dostal's ratios faded to a 3.52 GAA and an .887 save percentage in March and April, but the Ducks' extremely young defense and his heavy workload down the stretch played a role. Dostal is one of many young goalies in the organization, but he's the most established, and if the team's defense tightens up, he's poised for a breakout year in 2025-26. Read Past Outlooks
Concedes five in win
Dostal gave up five goals on 26 shots in a 7-5 victory over the Stars on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
While it was Dostal's worst performance of the season, he registered a 5.08 GAA and .808 save percentage, but he still managed to pick up the victory, extending his win streak to five games. An upcoming back-to-back versus the Golden Knights and Jets on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, should give the 25-year-old netminder a day off after he featured in 11 of the Ducks' first 13 games of the season.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Dostal started 2023-24 as the backup but seized the starter's reins late in the season. His 14-23-3 record, 3.33 GAA and .902 save percentage in 44 games were solid behind a bad team, but it was his play for Czechia at the IIHF World Championships that really turned heads. Dostal backstopped his team to a gold medal, and he was named Best Goaltender for his 6-2 record with three shutouts, 1.58 GAA and .939 save percentage. He's clearly the future in the Anaheim net, and he's ready to take on a bit more responsibility. Unfortunately, he's somewhat blocked by the untradeable John Gibson, who has struggled for several seasons and is signed for three more. The two men split games last season and could again, but Dostal should really see an uptick in starts to about 50. The Ducks are young, though, so his impact should be tempered.
