2025 Fantasy Outlook
Drafted eighth overall in 2022, Kasper gave Red Wings fans a reason to stay tuned during another playoff-less season in the Motor City. The 21-year-old center posted a very respectable 19 goals and 18 assists across 77 games in his rookie season. However, it was his second-half surge that really turned heads as he piled up 30 points (17 goals, 13 assists) over his final 42 games. Heading into 2025-26, Detroit's "Yzer-plan" is nearing its tipping point, and Kasper looks to have locked himself into a top-3 center role. He brings the grit Todd McClellan adores, but also enough offensive upside to put a 50-plus point sophomore season well in reach, and there's no question Kasper is trending in the right direction. Notches first goal of season
Kasper scored a goal Saturday in a 6-3 win over the Maple Leafs.
ANALYSIS
It was Kasper's first of the year. He put up 19 goals and 18 assists in 77 games last season. The 21-year-old is centering Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat at even strength, and those two have offensive firepower to burn. Kasper is a solid deep league option with plenty of upside.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Selected No. 8 overall by the Red Wings in 2022, Kasper spent last season playing for Rogle in Sweden, managing eight goals and 23 points in 52 games. He came over to North America late in the season, made his NHL debut in an early April game in Toronto and suffered a lower-body injury, ending his year. Kasper is a perfectly fine keeper/dynasty league asset but at age 19, it's far from a guarantee that he spends a good chunk of the 2023-24 campaign playing in Detroit.
