2026 Fantasy Outlook
Sasson went undrafted, but he worked his way through college and the AHL to earn his spot with the Canucks. That’s admirable, but he’s still not going to appeal to many fantasy managers. Sasson is primarily a bottom-six forward, so the fact that he was limited to 13 goals and 19 points across 66 outings in 2025-26 isn’t shocking. However, while some forwards in his position will still draw fantasy attention because they’re physically aggressive, that doesn’t apply to him. He had 26 PIM and 30 hits last year. On top of that, his 21.0 shooting percentage doesn’t look sustainable, which means he might take a step back from his modest 2025-26 offensive totals. Pencil him in for about 15 points. Signed a two-year, $2 million contract extension with the Canucks in December of 2025.
One of each Tuesday
Sasson scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, blocked two shots and logged two PIM in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Oilers.
ANALYSIS
Sasson scored in the third period and set up Paul Cotter's game-winner in overtime. After a 19-point effort over 66 games last season, Sasson looks poised for a full-time spot in the Canucks' lineup in 2026-27. He centered the third line Tuesday, but he doesn't have a clear path to a top-six role. The 26-year-old also doesn't add much non-scoring production typically, so he won't make for a strong fantasy option most of the time.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Sasson will compete for a depth role with the Canucks in 2025-26 after he came to terms on a one-year, $775,000 contract with the team in June. The Western Michigan University product provided three goals, four helpers, 31 shots on goal and a plus-1 rating while averaging 10:20 of ice time over 29 appearances last season. Sasson also had 13 markers and 32 points over 41 regular-season appearances with AHL Abbotsford. While the left-shot forward has proven capable of contributing offense in the minors, he’s unlikely to see anything more than bottom-six minutes with the big club this campaign. Fantasy managers should be able to find better options to fill out their roster.

Sasson was announced as a member of Team USA's IIHF World Championship roster Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Sasson generated 19 points over 66 appearances for the Canucks in his first full NHL campaign. The 25-year-old forward is likely to see a fairly small role with the Americans during the upcoming tournament -- he was mostly a bottom-six option in Vancouver.
