                2025 Fantasy Outlook

Suzuki tallied 30 goals and set a new career high with 89 points across 82 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. That success helped to push him and the Canadiens into the playoffs for the first time since 2021. Now 26 years old, we’ve probably seen about the peak of what he can offer. It’s not enough to compete for a Hart Trophy, but Suzuki is a solid top-line center. It’d be interesting to see what he could do if he had more of a shoot-first mentality, given his impressive 17.1 shooting percentage over the past three campaigns, but that just doesn’t seem to be in his nature, and fantasy managers should expect him to finish sub-200 again in shots for 2025-26. However, he’s one of the safer options out there -- Suzuki has the league’s third-best active iron man streak at 455 games, so his durability is without question. Plays provider in win
Suzuki registered three assists, including one on the power play, and added three shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.
				  ANALYSIS
Suzuki had a hand in both of the Canadiens' first-period goals as well as Cole Caufield's game-winner 44 seconds into overtime. This outing extended Suzuki's point streak to 10 games, and it was the fourth time in that span he's logged multiple assists. The 26-year-old center has two goals, 14 helpers, 26 shots and a plus-9 rating through 11 appearances this season. While he won't be this steady all year, he's a reliable source of offense at even strength and on the power play.

For the third straight campaign, Suzuki established new career highs in goals and points, finishing 2023-24 with 33 and 77, respectively, across 82 appearances. That steady growth has been encouraging, but how much higher can the 25-year-old's production climb? Rather than growth, we might see some regression in goals. His shooting percentage was at 17.8 percent in 2023-24, which isn't high enough to be a glaring red flag, but it borders on concerning. At the very least, the fact that he's never reached the 200-shot mark -- he had 185 in 2023-24 -- hurts his fantasy value a touch in leagues using that category. His plus/minus also tends to be poor with a combined minus-56 mark over the last three years, and while that's a byproduct of being on a rebuilding team, it's still another modest negative. Suzuki's still a great bet to record over 70 points this season, including at least 25 with the man advantage, so he'll provide plenty of value to fantasy managers.

				  ANALYSIS
Suzuki is coming off a career year in which he crossed both the 30-goal and 75-point thresholds for the first time in his five-year NHL career. The 24-year-old center's productivity was bolstered by the fact he racked up 31 points with the man advantage. Suzuki should be expected to continue featuring as the No. 1 center next year.
