Perez is now slated to face Wellington Turman at UFC Sao Paulo on Nov. 16, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
Perez was on track to face off against Jack Marshman, but Marshman bowed out of the fight for an undisclosed reason. Perez will look to put together another victory after defeating Anthony Hernandez via submission at UFC Fight Night 144 back in February of 2019.

Set to face Marshman on Nov. 16

Perez will fight Jack Marshman in a middleweight matchup at UFC Sao Paulo on Nov. 16, reports.
The ex-LFA middleweight titleholder, who currently holds an 11-2 record, will be returning to the ring following his most recent victory over Anthony Hernandez via submission in February. His battle mate, Marshman, will be looking to avenge a lost to Edmen Shahbazyan via submission as well at UFC 239 in July. The intriguing matchup is set for Nov. 16 at UFC Fight Night in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Off Greenville card

Perez will no longer face Deron Winn at UFC Greenville on June 23 following his withdrawal for undisclosed reasons, Nolan King of Flocombat reports.
Perez had been looking to surpass the .500 mark after going 2-2 in his first four appearances with the company, but those plans will be put on hold temporarily for the 28-year-old. Newcomer Bruno Silva will step in to face Winn in his stead.
To welcome UFC newcomer in Greenville

Perez will take on Deron Winn in a middleweight matchup at UFC Greenville on June 22, Raphael Marinho of reports.
Perez has split wins and losses since entering the UFC, as he owns two wins by submission and two losses via unanimous decision. He'll now welcome Winn to the Octagon, who got the attention of UFC brass following a win over former UFC fighter Tom Lawlor under the banner of Golden Boy Promotions. Perez will be the much taller man entering the cage, in addition to owning a slight reach advantage. Winn is a wrestler by trade, but Perez owns an impressive 81 percent takedown defense.
Submits Herandez with slick Anaconda Choke

Perez defeated Anthony Hernandez via submission (Anaconda Choke) at 1:07 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ on Saturday in Brazil.
Perez looked to grapple from the start of this fight. He was working hard for takedowns but wasn't finding much success. He did land some big strikes in the first round that bloodied Herandez's face. In the second, Perez landed a kick to the midsection of Hernandez which clearly hurt Hernandez. From there, "Maluko" tried to lock in a rear-naked choke. Hernandez did a good job defending, but Perez switched to an Anaconda Choke which resulted in a tap from Hernandez.
Bout with Hernandez rescheduled

Perez's middleweight bout against Anthony Hernandez has been moved to UFC on ESPN+ on February 2, Alexander K. Lee of reports.
Perez and Hernandez were originally scheduled to square off at UFC 223 in Anaheim in late January, but the event was canceled. The fighters will now have an extra week to prepare while the location shifts to Brazil. Perez boasts an impressive 10-2 overall record in MMA, but he will have his hands full come February against the undefeated Hernandez (7-0).
