Easy win as massive favorite
May 13, 2020
Eubanks defeated Sarah Moras via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26) at UFC Fight Night on Wednesday in Jacksonville.
It was an easy victory for Eubanks, but the fact she couldn't finish Moras is a bit concerning. "Sarj" got loose on the feet in the early going, peppering an ill-prepared Moras with all sorts of combinations. She then landed a takedown in each of the final two frames. It still wasn't enough. A win is a win but it's difficult to see how Eubanks will maintain this success moving forward. Her biggest attribute at flyweight was her brute strength, but Eubanks was unable to make the 126-pound limit without issue, and that size advantage is all but negated at the higher weight class. Each of Eubanks' last six fights (3-3) have seen the final bell.
Gets new date for Moras bout
April 28, 2020
Eubanks is now in line to face Sarah Moras at a UFC Fight Night event on May 13 in Jacksonville, Nolan King of reports.
Eubanks and Moras were originally set to face off at the originally-scheduled UFC 249 on April 18, but the event was scrapped late due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It appears matchmakers have a new date set as part of a packed UFC schedule set to take place over the next few weeks. Eubanks was a betting favorite greater than (-300) the first time around, so look for that to again be the case.
Bout against Moras back on
April 6, 2020
Eubanks will officially take on Sarah Moras at UFC 249 on April 18.
This matchup was supposed to happen all along, but concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic put it in risk. Eubanks is a modest 2-2 in her four trips to the Octagon, but is seeing some love from oddsmakers, as she has been pegged as a (-320) favorite in the fight. Her opponent, Moras, sports a 3-4 UFC record.
Books fight with Sarah Moras
January 27, 2020
Eubanks (4-4-0) is scheduled to face Sarah Moras (6-5-0) in a bantamweight fight April 18 at UFC 249 in Brooklyn, Ryan Gerbosi of Newsday reports.
The matchup features two fighters who have both struggled in their limited action with the promotion to date, as Eubanks has gone 2-2 in her four trips to the Octagon, while Moras sports a 3-4 UFC record. Despite her lack of recent success, Eubanks, who previously fought in the flyweight division, currently sits at 15th in the women's bantamweight rankings.
Crushing loss to Bethe Correia
September 21, 2019
Eubanks lost to Bethe Correia via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
It's a crushing loss for Eubanks and one that has the potential to completely derail her future time with the company. Facing one of the least talented fighters on the entire UFC roster, Eubanks started out fine before clearly dropping Rounds 2 and 3. Eubanks is strong, but her cardio is questionable and the knockout power she showed during her Invcita run has not translated to her time with the UFC. Eubanks has also displayed poor cardio and that seems unlikely to improve at age 34. She'll probably get another chance with the company, but her future is bleak.
