Sijara Eubanks

Crushing loss to Bethe Correia
September 21, 2019
Eubanks lost to Bethe Correia via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
It's a crushing loss for Eubanks and one that has the potential to completely derail her future time with the company. Facing one of the least talented fighters on the entire UFC roster, Eubanks started out fine before clearly dropping Rounds 2 and 3. Eubanks is strong, but her cardio is questionable and the knockout power she showed during her Invcita run has not translated to her time with the UFC. Eubanks has also displayed poor cardio and that seems unlikely to improve at age 34. She'll probably get another chance with the company, but her future is bleak.

Booked for fight versus Correia
July 20, 2019
Eubanks will take on Bethe Correia at UFC's upcoming event in Mexico City on September 21, Guilherme Cruz of reports.
Eubanks is coming off her first UFC loss, an impressive match against the undefeated Aspen Ladd. The 34-year-old flyweight will now move up to bantamweight for a matchup against Correia, who boasts a 10-4-1 professional record but has only logged one win since 2015.
Suffers first UFC loss
May 18, 2019
Eubanks lost to Aspen Ladd via unanimous decision (26-30, 27-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Rochester, New York.
It will go down as the first UFC loss for Eubanks, but it was an outstanding effort that earned the two women $50,000 Fight of the Night bonuses. Eubanks is very strong for the division and has the frame to control her opposition on the mat, as she was the first opponent to register a takedown on Ladd in her UFC career. She technically won the striking battle 77 to 69, but it was Ladd that registered the harder shots and threatened with multiple submissions. Eubanks was impressive in her ability to evade those submissions, and showed a better gas tank at 135 pounds after moving up from flyweight. Even as the third round came to a close, she was unloading strikes with everything she had. Ladd is a top-10 opponent that is undefeated as a professional, and while she's the type of fighter Eubanks needs to beat to climb the rankings, this wasn't a bad loss by any means. It would be unwise to underestimate the 34-year-old her next time out.
Booked for UFC on ESPN+ 9
March 7, 2019
Eubanks has been booked to fight Aspen Ladd in a bantamweight bout at UFC on ESPN+ 9 on May 18, John Morgan of reports.
Like her opponent, the 33-year-old Eubanks has only partaking in two fights under the UFC promotion since joining back in June of 2018. She has, however, won each of those fights and is coming off a victory over Roxanne Modafferi via unanimous decision at UFC 230 back in November. She'll have her work cut out for her come May, however, as Ladd boasts a perfect 7-0 record.
Takes decision at UFC 230 after missing weight Friday
November 3, 2018
Eubanks defeated Roxanne Modafferi via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 230 on Saturday in New York City.
The clean sweep on the judge's scorecards aside, it was a mediocre performance from Eubanks that was made all the more concerning by the fact she missed weight again on Friday. She started quickly before accomplishing shockingly little over the course of the second half of the bout. Eubanks is one of the more powerful flyweights on the roster, but she has serious conditioning issues and she runs her mouth a lot for a fighter that has accomplished virtually nothing in the sport. Don't be surprised if the UFC brass forces her to move up to bantamweight for her next fight. Eubanks would be far less interesting at 135 pounds and she isn't all that relevant at flyweight, either.
Misses weight, fight will go on
November 2, 2018
Eubanks weighed in 1.2 pounds overweight for Saturday's flyweight bout against Roxanne Modafferi at UFC 230, but the fight is remains scheduled to happen, Alexander K. Lee of reports.
As a result of missing weight, Eubanks will forfeit 20 percent of her purse for Saturday's fight, but the fight is expected to go on as scheduled despite Eubanks coming in heavy.
