Molly McCann
Next fight coming in March
November 21, 2018
McCann (7-2) has been added to the March 16 UFC London card and will face Priscila Cachoeira (8-1) in a flyweight bout, Guilherme Cruz and Peter Carroll of report.
Both fighters will be looking for bounce-back performances after losing their UFC debuts earlier this year. In McCann's case, she lost as a favorite against Gillian Robertson back in May, dropping the match via second-round submission. She'll at least enter his second UFC fight presumably with less rust to shake off than Cachoeira, who will go nearly 13 months between fighting after tearing her meniscus back in February and requiring surgery.

Loses Octagon debut via submission in Round 2
May 27, 2018
McCann was defeated by Gillian Robertson via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:05 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Sunday in Liverpool.
McCann had a rough first outing in the UFC. She landed a few good shots early, but then was taken down by Robertson in the first round. It was obvious Robertson had the advantage on the ground as she transitioned to different positions on top. She quickly achieved mount and started looking for an armbar and then transitioned to McCann's back. "Meatball" showed good choke defense and was able to survive until the second round. In the second round, McCann's lack of takedown defense was her downfall. She was almost immediately taken down and once again gave up mount. Shortly thereafter, Robertson took her back and sunk in the choke. The British fighter chose not to tap and was choked unconscious in her Octagon debut.
Misses weight by one pound
May 26, 2018
McCann missed weight by one pound for her UFC debut against Gillian Robertson on Sunday, reports.
McCann and Robertson will still square off in the preliminary bout, but similar to the main event, McCann will be subject to a weight restriction upon entering the arena (per freelance MMA journalist Simon Head). As of Saturday morning, McCann -- a Liverpool native -- is approximately a (-170) betting favorite for the flyweight matchup. The debuting fighter is riding a six-fight winning streak, with her last three victories coming under the Cage Warriors banner.
