Needs new opponent

Amirkhani needs a new opponent for his upcoming fight after Tristan Connelly withdrew for undisclosed reasons Tuesday, reports.
The pair had been set to meet in Abu Dhabi at UFC 267. The event doesn't take place until Oct. 30, so there's seemingly still plenty of time for Amirkhani to remain on the card against a new opponent.

Can't ride control time to victory
June 6, 2021
Amirkhani lost to Kamuela Kirk via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Vegas 28 on Saturday.
Amirkhani very well may have deserved a better fate here, but it was clear the judges valued the striking of Kirk far greater than the grappling and control time of Amirkhani. "Mr. Finland" appeared to have his fair share of opportunities in many stalemate situations to earn back the favor of the judges, but he simply was unable to rise to the occasion. While not all of Kirk's strikes did heavy damage, the newcomer more than doubled the total strike number of Amirkhani in all three frames. Amirkhani has now lost three of his last four fights and finds himself in a difficult spot. Five of his six UFC wins have been via submission in the first two rounds, but if he's unable to find success grappling, "Mr. Finland" seemingly struggles to find other ways to win.
