Dos Santos (20-8-0) is scheduled to face Jack Shore (12-0-0) in a bantamweight bout July 15 as part of a UFC Fight Night event on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Dos Santos will be back in the Octagon for the first time in more than a year after most recently fighting in June 2019. He lost to Andre Ewell in that bout, marking his second loss in a row after Nad Narimani defeated dos Santos via unanimous decision in November 2018. Meanwhile, the undefeated Shore will be fighting for a second time under the UFC banner after beating Nohelin Hernandez via submission in his promotional debut last September.

Dos Santos lost to Andre Ewell via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 27-29) at UFC Fight Night 154 in Greenville, South Carolina on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Dos Santos came out looking to box with Ewell, which was never a good idea against the rangier, quicker and more technical striker. Dos Santos finally leaned on his wrestling heavily in the third frame but wasn't able to keep Ewell in mount, resulting in his defeat. Dos Santos possesses a wrestling game, as well as credentials as a high-level BJJ black belt, but his desire to stand and slug with his opponents at this level will continue to get him in trouble if he lets it. He falls to 20-8 in professional MMA as a result of the loss.

Dos Santos will take on Andre Ewell in a bantamweight matchup at UFC Greenville on June 22, Jose Youngs of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dos Santos dropped a decision to Nad Narimani in his UFC debut, but will look to bounce back against Ewell, who is 1-1 with the promotion and coming off a loss as well. Dos Santos will enter with disadvantages in both height and reach, but could gain the upper hand if the fight goes to the ground, as Ewell has been submitted three times, including his most recent loss to Nathaniel Wood.
Drops decision in UFC debut

Dos Santos lost to Nad Narimani via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night 140 on Saturday in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
ANALYSIS
Not much was expected of dos Santos as a third-string replacement but the debutante showed his toughness, weathering a barrage of strikes before landing his own heavy counters. Dos Santos was still in the fight from a physical perspective in Round 3 before a late takedown dashed his hopes. The 33-year-old is a wrestler by trade but for whatever reason, chose not to attempt to get the fight to the ground. While he throws hard, he will likely need to lean on his ground game to win fights in the organization going forward. He falls to 19-7 in professional MMA as a result of the loss.
