Hammered in UFC debut
October 16, 2021
Gonzalez lost to Jim Miller via KO (punch) at 0:14 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Miller hasn't been a threat on the feet for seemingly the past decade, so the fact he knocked Gonzalez out cold in his UFC debut clearly isn't a great sign for the latter's future potential. Gonzalez didn't generate much offense in Round 1, with a single successful takedown being the highlight of maiden voyage. Gonzalez has fought for countless different regional promotions with limited success, so it comes as no surprise he struggled at the highest level. He'll likely get another fight with the company, but little should be expected.
