Rockhold will be unable to fight at UFC 268 against Sean Strickland due to herniated disks in his back, Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie reports.

Rockhold was scheduled to fight Nov. 6, but he's now headed for rehab. "There's no easy way to really say it, but the fight is off in New York," stated Rockhold via his personal Instagram account. "I ended up herniating a disc in my back. L4, L56. The docs say it's nothing I can play with. I need to do some treatment and recovery time." Finished in light heavyweight debut

Rockhold lost to Jan Blachowicz via KO (punches) at 1:39 of Round 2 at UFC 239 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Rockhold's light heavyweight debut and his first fight in 17 months did not go as planned. Some of it was his own doing, while some was just rotten luck. Rockhold got off to a strong start by peppering Blachowicz with kicks before oddly trying to muscle his opponent up against the cage. He had considerably less success in that position before eating a head kick from Blachowicz just as Round 1 expired. Referee Herb Dean ruled it a legal shot, but it appeared to be slightly late. Regardless, Rockhold was never the same afterwards and found himself knocked out moments later. His game planning and execution were both questionable in a fight he simply had to have. Rockhold is a career crossroads at age 34. He is 1-3 in his last four fights and has just one win dating back to December 2015. His next move remains an open question.

Rockhold (knee) will move up to light heavyweight and face Jan Blachowicz at UFC 239, Brett Okamoto of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be the first fight for Rockhold after undergoing surgery on his knee earlier this month. The surgery was minor in nature, but it's still fair to be slightly concerned with the surgery and the change in weight class, not to mention he's lost two of his last three fights.
