Weidman match bumped back
January 29, 2021
Hall's upcoming match against Chris Weidman was pushed from Feb. 13 to April 24 on Friday after Weidman tested positive for COVID-19, MMAJunkie.com reports.
With just over two weeks remaining until the originally scheduled date, Weidman wasn't going to have the time to get back into fighting chance. Hall will have to wait a bit longer to get revenge on Weidman, who won a first-round TKO victory against him all the way back in 2010 when both were fighting under the Ring of Combat banner.

Matched against Chris Weidman
November 17, 2020
Hall has verbally agreed to take on Chris Weidman in a middleweight matchup on Feb. 13, Ariel Helwani of ESPN reports.
Hall was hit with a six-month medical suspension due to hand and foot injuries following his TKO victory over Anderson Silva in late-October, but he's evidently been cleared to return sooner than that. That win was his third in a row. He'll look to stretch his winning streak to four against a fighter he lost to all the way back in 2010 when both were fighting for Ring of Combat. As of early-January, oddsmakers list Hall as roughly a (-160) betting favorite for the matchup.
Dealing with multiple injuries
November 3, 2020
Hall is facing a six-month medical suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission pending medical clearance of possible hand and foot injuries, Mike Heck of MMAFighting.com reports.
Hall was able to pick up the pace in the later rounds of his UFC Vegas 12 matchup against legend Anderson Silva, ultimately putting him away in the fourth round to put a cap on his Hall of Fame career. Unfortunately for Hall, it may be some time before he's able to build on that momentum, as he'll need X-rays on both hands and his right foot before potentially getting clearance to book another fight. Despite UFC President Dana White's criticism of Hall's hesitancy during the post-fight interview, Hall remains a fighter in the top-10 on a three-fight winning streak. He should get a bigger name opponent his next time out.
Finishes off Anderson Silva
October 31, 2020
Hall defeated Anderson Silva via TKO (punches) at 1:24 of Round 4 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
It was the result Hall desired, but it didn't come easy. In fact, Hall spent the better part of the first 15 minutes standing around and letting Silva dictate the situation. Yet, Uriah was able to score a knockdown in the later stages in Round 3 and another early in Round 4 to finish Silva off. In many ways, this fight exemplified Hall's biggest issue. Uriah has always been known as a guy who struggles to fight aggressively. He's naturally passive inside the Octagon, and that has worked against him on many occasions. It didn't cost him a victory here, but there were still signs of it. Hall has a ton of power and has always been an underrated athlete, but it's doubtful his style of fighting will change at age 36. Regardless, he's going to get a big fight his next time out on the heels of three straight victories.
Fight booked against Anderson Silva
August 19, 2020
Hall is scheduled to fight Anderson Silva in a middleweight fight at the UFC's Oct. 31 event, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
In what's expected to be the last fight of Silva's career, the 45-year-old will draw a tough opponent in Hall, who has yet to fight in 2020 after having his previous two scheduled bouts cancelled. Prior to the pair of cancellations, "Prime Time" had won his last two fights, defeating Antonio Carlos Junior last September via split decision and scoring a third-round win over Bevon Lewis back in December 2018.
Will have to find new opponent
August 11, 2020
Hall's opponent, Yoel Romero, pulled out of their agreed bout on August 22, BJPenn.com reports.
It's not clear at this point why Romero withdrew from the fight that was supposed to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. The UFC will have to search for a new opponent for Hall in the coming days.
