Based on a NSAC ruling, Ontiveros will no longer fight Markus Perez at UFC Las Vegas on Saturday, Mike Heck of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ontiveros was scheduled to step in on short notice after Eric Spicely withdrew from the event due to an undisclosed injury. It's unclear when he will next step into the octagon under the UFC promotion.

Tabbed as Spicely replacement
WelterweightBellator
July 31, 2020
Ontiveros will step in on short notice to take on Markus Perez in a catchweight matchup (195 pounds) at UFC Vegas 5 on Saturday, Raphael Marinho of Combate reports.
ANALYSIS
Ontiveros once competed under the Bellator banner, losing a fight to Michael Venom Page as a massive underdog back in 2015. The rest of his career record has been compiled across smaller circuits such as Legacy FC and most recently, Fury FC. While typically a welterweight fighter, the short-notice nature of this bout will result in a move up roughly 25 pounds in weight. Oddly enough, however, Ontiveros will enter with slight height and reach advantages.
WelterweightBellator
October 23, 2015
Ontiveros will enter his Bellator 144 fight with Michael Page as a +1080 underdog at Bellator 144 on Friday in Uncasville, Connecticut.
ANALYSIS
The line says it all in this scrap -- Page is one of the most intriguing talents in MMA, whereas Ontiveros is stepping up on short notice to fill the role of "opponent." With losses in two of his last four bouts -- including one to a 5-12 fighter -- it's unlikely that Ontiveros will put Page's undefeated record in jeopardy.
