Scheduled to face Silva
FeatherweightUFC
May 10, 2023
Holm will fight Mayra Bueno Silva in a bantamweight bout at a UFC Event on July 15 in Abu Dhabi, per MMA Mania.
ANALYSIS
Holm is Silva's new opponent after Miesha Tate was initially scheduled to fight. Holm is coming off a win over Yana Santos via unanimous decision in March. She'll try to stifle the much younger Silva's winning streak at three matches.

Dominates Yana Santos
FeatherweightUFC
March 25, 2023
Holm defeated Yana Santos via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC on ESPN 43 on Saturday in San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
It was Holm's best performance in ages. It took Holly about a round to get things going, but once she did, Santos was done. We all know Holm is a striker by trade, but she won this fight on the strength of her grappling. She landed 4-of-6 takedowns in the bout, good for 9:49 worth of control time. In fact, Holly was credited with 9:08 worth of control time in the final two rounds alone. It was going to be difficult or Santos to win a decision since she only had 52 seconds to work with over the course of the final ten minutes. It's still difficult to believe Holly is going to go on any sort of run considering she's due to turn 42 years of age this coming October, but this was a very strong performance.
Taking on Kunitskaya
FeatherweightUFC
December 18, 2022
Holm will face Yana Kunitskaya at UFC San Antonio on March 25, Mike Bohn of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Holm lost a split decision in May to Ketlen Vieira, which was her first time in the Octagon since October of 2020. Now 41 years old, Holm will fight the 33-year-old Kunitskaya, who is returning to action for the first time since July 2021 after taking time off for her pregnancy.
Crushing split decision defeat
FeatherweightUFC
May 21, 2022
Holm lost to Ketlen Vieira via split decision (47-48, 48-47, 47-48) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's the latest and final chapter in an event which featured multiple questionable judges' decisions. Regardless of who you felt deserved to win, there's no doubt that Holm -- now 40 years of age -- didn't look great in her first fight since October 2020. Her stand-up defense was particularly worrisome, as she absorbed plenty of damage from Vieira simply because she was unable to get her head off the center line on counter strikes. It could have been the result of Octagon rust or simply because she's aging, but it's a bad sign regardless. Offensively, Holly's thrusts were essentially limited to front kicks and controlling Ketlen in the clinch along the fence. Holm was credited with 10:03 worth of control time in the fight, although she failed on all six of her takedown attempts. In short, Holly certainly has a gripe regarding the judges' decision, but she performed nowhere near well enough to take the call out of their hands entirely. Holm is 4-6 in ten fights since knocking out Ronda Rousey for the UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship in November 2015.
Headlining May event
FeatherweightUFC
February 1, 2022
Holm is expected to headline a May 21 card in Las Vegas against Ketlen Vieira, MMA reporter Ariel Helwani reports.
ANALYSIS
Holm hasn't fought since late 2020, as a pair of scheduled fights in 2021 against Julianna Pena and Norma Dumont fell through. When she steps back into the Octagon in May, the 40-year-old will be looking to stretch her winning streak to three, having previously scored unanimous decision wins over Raquel Pennington and Irene Aldana. Her opponent, Vieira, is 10 years her junior and owns a 2-2 record over her last four matches.
Injury forces withdrawal
FeatherweightUFC
October 6, 2021
Holm has a knee injury and won't face Norma Dumont at the UFC event on Oct. 16, MMA reporter Ariel Helwani reports.
ANALYSIS
The featherweight matchup was penciled in as next weekend's headliner, but UFC will now be forced to scramble with less than two weeks notice. Holm hopes to return to action before the end of 2021, and it's not yet known if Dumont will remain on the card and receive a new opponent on short notice.
