Slated to fight Spann
Krylov will face Ryan Spann in a light heavyweight main even at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 25, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Krylov has won back-to-back fights, most recently defeating Volkan Oezdemir via unanimous decision at UFC 280 in late October. He'll face another tough opponent in Spann, who is 21-7-0 as a professional and most recently defeated Dominick Reyes via KO (punch) at UFC 281 on Nov. 12. Spann has advantages in both height and reach.

Easily handles Volkan Oezdemir
Krylov defeated Volkan Oezdemir via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 280 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
Krylov spent the opening minute of this fight pushing forward like a lunatic, and he paid for it, eating some massive strikes from Oezdemir. He eventually calmed down, got things under control and dominated the rest of the way. Krylov is an excellent grappler and wisely leaned on his wrestling game against an opponent in Volkan who offers little other than his striking. Krylov landed 7-of-20 takedown attempts, good for 9:17 worth of control time. It's a bit disappointing Nikita wasn't able to earn the stoppage, but this was a rout over the course of the final 13 or 14 minutes. Krylov has now won back-to-back fights in a row on the heels of a brief two-bout losing streak.

Oezdemir on tap in October
Krylov agreed to a light heavyweight bout at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi on Oct. 22, Farah Hannoun of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Krylov ended a two-bout losing streak when he decimated Alexander Gustafsson at UFC Fight Night in London during late July. Oezdemier was also on that card and defeated Paul Craig via unanimous decision to end his own losing streak.

Destroys Alexander Gustafsson
Krylov defeated Alexander Gustafsson via KO (punches) at 1:07 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
Krylov suffered a crushing submission loss at the hands of Paul Craig this past March, but he got right back in the win column here with a 67-second blasting of a former top-tier opponent in Gustafsson, who appears completely checked out. Krylov dropped his opponent moments after the opening bell rang. An immediate stoppage appeared to be looming before Gustafsson got back to his feet and grabbed a hold of Krylov. Once Nikita separated, he pounded Alex again and referee Marc Goddard quickly and wisely stepped in. The victory snaps a brief two-fight losing streak for Krylov and supplies him some breathing room moving forward in a thin 205-pound division. He'll also take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.
