Neither Tulsa nor Oklahoma State are off to the starts they had hoped for. While the defenses have been undesirable, nothing has inspired much confidence in the offenses to combine for more than 54.5 points in this one.
The Cowboys averaged just three yards per carry against FCS UT-Martin before losing by 66 to Oregon. Against FBS competition, Tulsa has as many turnovers as touchdowns.

Iowa hasn't been overly impressive this season and going to Piscataway on a short week will be no small task. The Hawkeyes, however, have shown the ability to compete away from home. Mark Gronowski is an upgrade at quarterback and the backfield combination of Xavier Willaims and Jazium Patterson is nice, but the offense is better at controlling the clock than putting points on the board. Expect this one to be a low-scoring contest and take the under.
Rutgers is 3-0 and at home, but the Scarlet Knights struggled in the opener against Ohio and struggled more than the final score would indicate against both Miami University and Norfolk State. Friday night will prove that Iowa is the better team. Pick the Hawkeyes to win and to cover.
