Matt Mills

2019 Fantasy Outlook
The 22-year-old Ohio native is tabbed to take one of BJMM's three full-time teams in 2019. Mills will pilot the No. 8 Chevrolet for the full season with JF Electric and Thompson Electric providing sponsorship. The young driver made just eight starts last season split between several teams, although he ended the year in the No. 8 car with crew chief George Ingram. We believe that combination will return in February at Daytona. With just 11-career starts over the past two seasons of Xfinity Series racing, Mills still has a lot to learn. So the campaign could get very bumpy at times. Read Past Outlooks
Returning to B.J. McLeod Motorsports
January 9, 2020
BJ McLeod Motorsports announced that the team has resigned Mills for the full 2020 NASCAR XFINITY Series schedule. Mills, will pilot the No. 5 entry for the team with primary sponsorship from J.F. Electric, Utilitra, and Thompson Electric.
Mills scored his first-ever Top-10 finish with this team last year in Daytona's summer event. He also went on to record eight Top-20 finishes in what was a career-best Xfinity Series campaign. BJMM was happy to welcome the young driver back for another season after that respectable effort. "We're so pleased to have Matt back." said team owner BJ McLeod. "He showed an impressive amount of speed last season and took a big step forward both on and off the track. I am really looking forward to Daytona in a few weeks."
