GTD honors at Daytona went to the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of Auer and Russell Ward, which finished fourth among the GTD cars overall,

Kenny Habul, would lose the lead early in the 100-minute qualifying race to Ward. Auer would take over the No. 57 Mercedes-AMG and hold off a stiff challenge from the No. 59 Crucial Motorsports McLaren over the closing laps to secure the GTD class victory. Auer, Ward and their co-pilots will start from the GTD pole in next weekend's Rolex 24.
