Thad Moffitt

Faction 46
2024 Fantasy Outlook
The 23-year-old talent has been a fixture in the ARCA Menards Series for the last few seasons. Moffitt makes the jump to full-time trucks in 2024. He'll get his rookie campaign rolling with a new race team, Faction 46. The team is in a technical alliance with Niece Motorsports and will be headed up by veteran crew chief, Doug George. Moffitt got a taste of truck series action in 2022, making four starts with a couple different teams, so he's not completely unfamiliar with these NASCAR trucks. The youngster did not compete in any NASCAR touring series in 2023, so this is a bit of a career reboot of sorts. Moffitt faces many challenges hitting the ground running with this brand new race team. Read Past Outlooks

GMS Racing is proud to announce an exciting, new partnership with Reaume Brothers Racing to welcome Moffitt, fourth generation driver and grandson of legendary NASCAR Hall of Fame member Richard Petty, for a multi-race schedule driving the newly unveiled No. 43 Chevrolet Silverado RST entry.
ANALYSIS
The youngster has spent the last few seasons sharpening his skills in the ARCA Menards Series. Now, the 21-year-old prospect will get his first truck series ride with GMS Racing. Moffitt will kick his 2022 schedule off with the season-opener at Daytona, and will compete in a number of events in the upcoming season. "I am super excited to make my NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Daytona in the No. 43 Reaume Brothers Racing Chevrolet with team support from GMS Racing. Daytona is a track that has a lot of family history, and having STP onboard makes it that much more special. It truly is an honor to run the iconic STP branding on my Silverado along with my fire suit, and I am hoping to represent their longtime support of my family in a great way." said Moffitt.
