[Updated] Fit or Miss: Premier League Injury Tracker - Gameweek 31

This article is part of our Fit or Miss series.

15 matches will be played in gameweek 31, which means roster selection is of the utmost importance. A number of big name players will miss out due to injuries, such as Sergio Aguero and Mesut Ozil, while others will miss out due to red card bans, such as Vincent Kompany, though he will be available mid-week.

And with that, here are a few of the names we're tracking for gameweek 31:

Tuesday, March 25

Manchester United vs. Manchester City
Robin van Persie will be out for up to six weeks with a sprained knee suffered during last week's Champions League match against Olympiakos. Nemanja Vidic's red card suspension is over but now he has a groin injury that will likely keep him out. Antonio Valencia suffered an eye injury during the match against Olympiakos and was held out of Sunday's Premier League match against West Ham, although he is expected to be fit for the derby. Jonny Evans (calf) and Chris Smalling (hamstring) face late fitness tests. Sergio Aguero (hamstring) likely won't return until the weekend, while Edin Dzeko, who missed last weekend's match against Fulham with an illness, may return. Vincent Kompany returns from his red card ban.

Arsenal vs. Swansea City
Laurent Koscielny will miss out with a calf injury, along with Jack Wilshere (ankle), Mesut Ozil (hamstring) and Aaron Ramsey (thigh). Meanwhile, Swansea are healthier now than they've been in quite awhile.

Newcastle vs. Everton
Loic Remy is out with a calf injury, while Mathieu Debuchy remains sidelined with a groin problem and Davide Santon is still battling an illness. Phil Jagielka (hamstring) has been declared fit, but manager Roberto Marintez may hold him out until Saturday's match against Fulham. Steven Pienaar suffered a setback in his recovery from a knee injury and will miss a few more weeks.

Wednesday, March 26

West Ham vs. Hull City
James Tomkins picked up an ankle injury Sunday against Manchester United but is hopeful to play. George Boyd is suspended after spitting on Manchester City's Joe Hart, while Shane Long could miss out after picking up a knee injury last weekend against West Brom.

Liverpool vs. SunderlandJose Enrique could miss the rest of the season because of his on-going knee problem. Marcos Alonso will miss out after picking up a late red card last weekend. Steven Fletcher continues to sit out with an ankle injury.

Saturday, March 22

Chelsea vs. Arsenal
Ashley Cole could be fit following a knee injury, although it would be surprising if he was in the starting XI. Willian and Ramires are both out after picking up red cards last weekend. Mesut Ozil (hamstring), Aaron Ramsey, and Jack Wilshere (ankle) are all still out. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain picked up a calf injury last weekend, but should be fine. Kim Kallstrom (back) may make his Arsenal debut.

Cardiff City vs. Liverpool
Ben Turner picked up a knock last weekend and will have to pass a late fitness test in order to play. Jose Enrique continues to sit out with a knee injury.

Everton vs. Swansea City
Phil Jagielka will face a late fitness test due to his hamstring injury. Gareth Barry took a hard tackle at the end of last weekend's game but is expected to be okay. Steven Pienaar (knee) is likely a week away. Chico will miss out due to a red card ban. On the plus side, Jonjo Shelvey is set to return from his hamstring injury, while Nathan Dyer is fit following a issue with his heel.

Hull City vs. West Brom
George Boyd will miss out after getting hit with a three-match ban for splitting on Manchester City's Joe Hart last weekend. Jonas Olsson will also miss out due to a (red card) suspension, while Morgan Amalfitano could miss out after picking up a knock. Claudio Yacob looks set to return from his hamstring injury.

Manchester City vs. Fulham
Vincent Kompany misses out after picking up a red card last weekend. Stevan Jovetic is expected to be fit after a hamstring injury, and Matija Nastasic could be back from his knee issue. Sergio Aguero is still another week away from returning from his hamstring injury. Kostas Mitroglu will miss out with a knee injury, while Ashkan Dejagah's groin injury will keep him out. However, Scott Parker looks set to return from a knee injury.

Newcastle vs. Crystal Palace
Mathieu Debuchy remains on the sidelines with a groin injury, as does Loic Remy with his calf issue. Davide Santon (knee) has already been ruled out, but Hatem Ben Arfa looks set to return from his groin injury. Dwight Gayle picked up an ankle injury in training and could miss a few matches and Marouane Chamakh will miss out due to a hamstring injury.

Norwich City vs. Sunderland
Leroy Fer is out for a few more weeks with a hamstring injury. Jonas Gutierrez (calf) and Michael Turner (hamstring) are both due back. Steven Fletcher remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

West Ham vs. Manchester United
Roma loanee Marco Borriello is out with a hamstring injury. Nemanja Vidic won't play due to a red card ban (he also has a groin injury). Robin van Persie was stretchered off of Wednesday's Champions League match against Olympiakos. Jonny Evans (calf) looks set to return, while Nani (hamstring) might make it back for the Manchester derby on Tuesday.

Sunday, March 23

Tottenham vs. Southampton
Younes Kaboul picked up a knock and could miss out. Michael Dawson will not play due to a hamstring injury, although he could return next week, along with Vlad Chiriches (back). Dejan Lovren is not expected to play due to a groin injury, while Victor Wanyama could miss out due to a calf issue.

Aston Villa vs. Stoke City
Jores Okore looks set to finally return from his torn ACL. Charlie Adam and Jonathan Walters will both sit due to a red card bans, but Oussama Assaidi could return from his knee injury. Robert Huth (knee) and Erik Pieters still don't have return dates.
