Andre Onana Injury: Hopeful to make opener

Onana (hamstring) is hopeful to be fit for the opening match of the season, the goalie stated to his club. "I'm good, I feel great. It's been a few difficult weeks, but yeah, hopefully, I will be back for the start of the season. I'm enjoying the training with my guys, and we are looking forward."

Onana looks to be trending in the right direction as the 2025/26 season approaches, as even though he didn't appear in the club's offseason friendlies, he appears to have been doing some training with the team. That has brought him confidence that he could be fit for the start of the season, facing Arsenal on August 17. He would be expected to start if fit by then, with Altay Bayindir as his replacement.
