Caoimhin Kelleher Injury: Touch and go for opener
Kelleher (undisclosed) is back on training on the grass and will be a late call to face Nottingham Forest on Sunday, manager Keith Andrews told media Thursday. "Caoimhin [Kelleher] is back on the grass," Andrews said. "Whether [he] will be absolutely ready we'll see over the next day and a half, then we'll make that decision. Overall, we're in a pretty good place on that front."
Kelleher didn't play in the club's final friendly match of the preseason, but the fact that he's back on the grass suggests he should have a chance to defend the posts in the first game of the 2025/26 campaign. If he can't go, then Hakon Valdimarsson should be in goal for the Bees. Kelleher was a summer signing for Brentford after spending the last few seasons as Alisson Becker's backup at Liverpool.
