Caoimhin Kelleher
26-Year-Old
Brentford
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kelleher had been the long-term backup for Liverpool, starting 10 games each of the last two seasons. He now gets the chance to be an unquestioned starter after making the switch to Brentford to replace Mark Flekken. Kelleher has shown plenty of potential as a backup, keeping four clean sheets and only conceding 12 goals in 10 matches last season. Brentford don't have the most rigid defense, conceding 57 goals last season, which means Kelleher could be busy for the Bees. Last season, Flekken made a ridiculous 153 saves to go with seven clean sheets. It's unclear how he will handle the heavy shot volume, but Kelleher has been one of the better backups in the Premier League and is at the very least an intriguing option as a starter.
Three saves Saturday
Kelleher registered three saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 3-2 win versus Liverpool.
ANALYSIS
Kelleher made three saves and allowed a pair of goals during Saturday's win. Kelleher immediately got revenge on his old club, stopping three of the five shots he faced and doing just enough to earn all three points at home against the club that let him go. Kelleher got off to a mixed start with Brentford, but has been excellent in recent matches, conceding just four goals in the last four matches while playing Liverpool and Manchester City in that span.
