Harry Maguire News: Carefully managed in pre-season

Maguire was substituted at halftime of Wednesday's 4-1 win over Bournemouth in a pre-season friendly due to fatigue, as he is being carefully managed by the staff, coach Ruben Amorim said in a press conference. "He had an issue during the holidays, during training. They were training in the holidays. He's a little bit late, so we have to be careful with him. It's just a little bit fatigue with the trainings, so we are trying to control everything and saving all the players, to give the exact minutes they need."

Maguire had some issues during training over his holidays and is slightly behind his teammates, so coach Ruben Amorim and the medical staff are managing him carefully and giving him the exact minutes he needs to avoid any sort of injury with two weeks remaining before the start of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
