Kevin Diks Injury: Questionable for season opener

Diks (thigh) is questionable for the season opener against Hamburger SV on Sunday, the club announced.

Diks was still training individually this week due to muscular problems and is questionable for Sunday's season opener. The newcomer will be assessed in the coming days to determine if he can be deemed fit for the game. If he cannot make it, it would be a big blow since he is expected to hold a starting role in defense and his absence would therefore force a change, with Fabio Chiarodia likely replacing him in central defense alongside Nico Elvedi.
