Nathan Patterson Injury: Out against Brighton
Patterson (groin) is out for Sunday's match against Brighton, manager David Moyes told media during his pre-match press conference Friday. "[Nathan] Patterson is not fit, either."
Patterson missed the season-opening loss against Leeds United, and the right-back won't be able to make his return to action this weekend, either. This means Jake O'Brien will continue to start at right-back, though the overall defensive line remains depleted since Jarrad Branthwaite (hamstring) and Vitaliy Mykolenko (undisclosed) are sidelined as well. Patterson's next chance to play will come against Wolverhampton on Saturday, Aug. 30, right before the international break.
