Phil Foden Injury: Suffers ankle injury
Foden suffered a knock on his ankle that kept him out of the pre-season friendly against Palermo as a precaution, but he could return for the season opener, coach Pep Guardiola said in a press conference. "Phil was doing really good but he had a problem with a knock on his ankle, that's why as a precaution we did it. Phil, hopefully, it depends on the problem, but it's a long week so hopefully."
Foden suffered a knock to his ankle and missed the last pre-season friendly against Palermo as a precaution. The forward could be back for the season opener against Wolves on Saturday if everything goes fine this week. That said, if he has to miss the game, Savinho will likely step into the frontline to replace him.
