Loaned to Celta with option
Bayindir has joined Celta Vigo on loan with an option to buy from Manchester United, according to the club.
ANALYSIS
Bayindir became the first Turkish player in Manchester United's history when he joined in 2023, accumulating over 1,500 minutes across domestic and European competition, after four seasons establishing himself as a key goalkeeper and eventual captain at Fenerbahce. The Turkey international will travel directly to Italy to join Celta's preseason training camp, where the club will play friendlies against Sassuolo and Napoli, giving him a fresh opportunity for regular playing time. Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set for loan spell in Spain
Bayindir is set to complete a loan move from Manchester United to Celta Vigo after the two clubs finalized the framework of the agreement, according to The Daily Mail.
ANALYSIS
Bayindir struggled to get opportunities behind Andre Onana at Old Trafford, and when he did play, he couldn't convince the coaching staff he was a solid option for the No. 1 role. With Senne Lammens and Karl Darlow ahead of him on the depth chart, making a temporary move away from Old Trafford seems like the best solution for all parties. Regular minutes in LaLiga could help the Turkey international rebuild his confidence, though it remains to be seen if he'll win over the starting role at Celta.
