Sent off after returning to lineup
Bernardo was sent off in the 65th minute of Hoffenheim's match against Hamburger SV after receiving a second yellow card for a foul near the byline and will miss the upcoming clash against Borussia Monchengladbach.
ANALYSIS
Bernardo had just worked his way back from injury and into Hoffenheim's starting lineup, but his dismissal against Hamburger SV means he will miss the next match through suspension. The defender's absence creates an opening on the left side of the back line, with Mats Rots expected take his place. Bernardo should be available again after serving the suspension, though he will need to compete to retain his starting spot once Rots is back in contention.
