Casemiro

Casemiro started in 18 of his 24 Premier League appearances in 2024/25, and while he made his presence felt as a defensive threat, he didn't do much at the other. His averages were decent, though, as he notched 3.45 tackles and 2.0 clearances per game. It's hard to see Casemiro as a player who's going to start regularly in midfield, especially since Ruben Amorim's midfield plan might have space for just one defensive midfielder alongside Bruno Fernandes. Thus, Casemiro is likely to rotate like he did in most of 2024/25. That should limit his upside considerably, especially since his attacking contributions are slim to none. Don't go after Casemiro in mid-rounds, and his upside on draft day might be the one of a player being targeted in the late rounds of most drafts since he's likely to be a depth piece and not much else.
