Anderson made the move to Nottingham Forest from Newcastle last summer and immediately found a role, capturing a regular spot in the midfield. He started 33 of his 37 appearances for almost 2,800 minutes, numbers he was never going to see at Newcastle. Still, in terms of fantasy, he was stuck in more of a holding role for the majority of his minutes, limiting him to two goals from 40 shots and six assists on 37 chances created. A split role of set pieces helped his floor and will be something to target in the new season. Given that he found more of his footing in the latter half last campaign, it's reasonable to expect more goals and assists in 2025/26.
Busy defensively
Anderson generated three tackles (two won), four clearances and one interception in Wednesday's 2-1 defeat to Argentina. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 37th minute.

Anderson had everything to do throughout the midfield during Wednesday's loss. He was astounding, he was shutting down Argentine attacks everywhere and causing issues for their midfield, offering no space. It was an incredibly impressive performance, though it didn't fill the stat sheet as most of what Anderson did we impressive ball recovery and duels in the midfield.
