Simms enjoyed a breakout 2025/26 in front of goal, scoring 13 times to help fire Coventry to promotion, though he did it largely as an impact option with just 15 starts in his 43 appearances. The finishing was sharp on 76 shots, which is the encouraging part for a cheap forward. The usual promoted-striker caveats apply, as Championship goals do not always carry into the Premier League and his starting role is far from locked in, especially with new signings likely through the summer and competition for the central role.
