Gerson has signed a five-year contract with Flamengo after transferring from Marseille, the club announced Tuesday.

Gerson tallied 11 goals and four assists in 45 Ligue 1 appearances (35 starts) during his 18-month stint with Marseille, but his last league start came back in October as he's fallen out with new manager Igor Tudor.
