Moves to Canadian Premier League
Assi will join Canadian Premier League side Atlético Ottawa on a season-long loan from CF Montreal, the club announced Wednesday. He also signed a two-year contract extension with Montreal, with the option to further add an additional year.
ANALYSIS
Assi will do another year in the Canadian Premier League after spending last season on-loan with Calgary Cavalry FC. He has been part of the Montreal academy since 2017 while also making appearances with the Canadian U-15 national team. Assi became the youngest player in club history to make an appearances with the first team at the age of 16 years and 125 days during a CONCACAF Champions League match against CD Olimpia of Honduras.
