Romulo has signed a contract with RB Leipzig until 2030, the club announced. "Romulo possesses a strong physique, impeccable technique, and a keen eye for goal. He can be deployed flexibly in attack, both as a classic number nine and in more versatile roles. We were particularly impressed by his quick adaptation to the different leagues and systems in Brazil and Turkey. We are confident he will inject new life into our game and make our attacking profile even more versatile. We are delighted to welcome him here in Leipzig," said Sporting Director Marcel Schafer.

Romulo is joining RB Leipzig from Turkish side Goztepe. The striker was formed in Brazil at Maringa FC before joining Athletico Paranaense, where he was spotted by Goztepe in Izmir. He played a significant role in the club's promotion to the Turkish top flight, scoring five goals and providing three assists. Romulo ended his first season in the first division with 17 goals and 10 assists across all competitions. The Brazilian will be a strong addition for Leipzig after the departure of Benjamin Sesko to the Premier League.
