Sessegnon (undisclosed) participated in training Thursday and could be in contention to play against Brighton on Saturday, manager Marco Silva told media during his pre-match press conference Thursday. "About [Ryan] Sessegnon, he came off in the last pre-season game against Eintracht. Nothing serious, as I mentioned at the end of the match, it was a bit of a precaution from him. He felt something, and with his story in terms of injuries and all that stuff, I think he took the right decision. And today, in the morning, he was involved in the session. Let's see how he's going to react, and after we are going to take the decision for the game as well."

Sessegon (undisclosed) is set for assessment after suffering an injury in a friendly against Frankfurt on Saturday, according to manager Marco Silva. "He felt something. Let's see in the next few hours or a few days how he reacts. We'll do some exams on him. Let's hope that he can be ready for the beginning of the season."

Sessegnon was forced off in the 22nd minute of Saturday's friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Sessegnon generated four goals and three assists from 17 shots (10 on target) and 15 chances created in 20 games played (nine starts) during the 2024/25 season.

Sessegnon scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal), nine crosses (one accurate) and four chances created in Saturday's 2-1 win against Southampton.
