2025 Fantasy Outlook
Wheeler has had decent fantasy value for most of her career, but her production fell off in 2024 after the Fever drafted Caitlin Clark. Wheeler started in just two of her 39 regular-season appearances and averaged 3.6 points and 1.8 assists in 14.0 minutes per game, her worst marks since 2015. She'll get a fresh start in her age-34 season, as she signed with the Storm this winter and will be in the mix for a starting role alongside Skylar Diggins-Smith after Seattle lost Jewell Loyd during the offseason. Diggins-Smith will be the primary scoring option in the backcourt, but Wheeler has usually been a reliable scorer throughout her career while providing modest numbers in secondary categories, so she should have a chance to regain a fantasy-relevant role in 2025. Puts up 13 points in loss Sunday
Wheeler posted 13 points (4-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Sunday's 84-57 loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Wheeler moved to a starting role June 7 and never looked back. For the most part, she's been a productive player on offense for the Storm. She's posted double-digit points in five of her last eight outings, averaging 13.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game over that stretch.

2024

2022
Wheeler returned to the Fever in 2023 following one-year stints with the Sparks and Dream, and she bounced back following a lackluster showing in Atlanta. She served exclusively as a starter and appeared in every game, averaging 9.9 points, 5.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 26.8 minutes per game. Her assists tied a career-high mark and ranked eighth among all players in the league, but her role could decrease in 2024 if the Fever are able to select Caitlin Clark with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Clark would provide an immediate boost to Indiana’s offense as a whole, but she has a ball-dominant style that may bring down some stats for her teammates. Kelsey Mitchell, NaLyssa Smith and Aliyah Boston should be locked into starting roles heading into 2024, which would presumably leave Wheeler and Lexie Hull to compete for the final starting spot, assuming Clark joins the team. Wheeler has showcased enough talent, especially as a passer, to maintain a role within the team’s system, but she’d likely have a more inconsistent impact if she comes off the bench in 2024.
