The Sun announced Sunday that Hartley will miss the remainder of the 2025 campaign due to a meniscus tear in her right knee.
ANALYSIS
Hartley sustained the knee injury during a recent practice and is expected to make a full recovery. The 32-year-old guard returned to the WNBA after suffering a torn ACL in July 2022 and playing overseas for Avenida in Spain in 2023-24. Over 38 regular-season games (32 starts) with Connecticut in 2025, she averaged 8.9 points, 3.1 assists and 2.0 rebounds while shooting 36.2 percent from the field across 22.8 minutes per game. Lindsay Allen, Saniya Rivers and Mamignan Toure are candidates for increased minutes with Hartley sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Hartley spent the 2021 campaign with the Mercury but missed most of the year with a knee injury. At the beginning of September, she returned to the court but saw limited action across her 16 appearances.. She averaged just 2.9 points in 9.2 minutes per game and was traded to Indiana in early February in a deal that sent saw Julie Allemand shipped to Chicago in a three-team trade. The 29-year-old has displayed some potential, notably averaging 14.6 points per game with Phoenix in 2020, and she could warrant some fantasy consideration given Indiana's overall youth movement this offseason.
