Ex-prospect is looking to leverage a strong year at Round Rock into a utility infielder job. He might be a good use of a roster spot elsewhere; with the Astros, he's behind a better version in Bruntlett.

2004

Klassen was a September call-up and performed at a mediocre rate. He is not a prospect, and his time in the majors may have passed.

2003

Klassen hit just .230-2-42 in 103 games at Triple-A Tucson in 2002, and he's hit only .218 (with five homers) in 63 career big league games. He turned 27 in September, and this may be as good as it gets. Last infielder on the bench, at best, in the majors in 2003, with not much to promise in terms of roto impact.
