ANALYSIS
Claggett got into seven spring contests, allowing three earned runs in 8.2 innings. He's had success in the minors, but struggled in his tiny three-game major league sample, giving up 11 runs in 3.2 frames.

2010 Fantasy Outlook

Claggett figures to contend for a bullpen spot in 2010. He went 7-7 with five saves at Triple-A for the Yankees before being claimed off waivers by Pittsburgh. He doesn't do anything particularly well, though his fastball reached the low 90s. Last season, he compiled a 43:32 K:BB ratio in 82 innings, which would fit right in with the Pirates' relief corps. Claggett could be on shuttle service from Triple-A Indianapolis to PNC Park in 2010, but it's unlikely he makes much of a fantasy impact.
