ANALYSIS
They'll let Jose sign with a Mexican League team. Jose will be out of action for at least six more weeks anyway with a partial tear of his Achilles tendon.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2004
2003
For the third time in four seasons, Jose left the Mexican League in September to join a contender for the stretch run, and he did well in limited time. Arizona signed him to a minor-league contract in September, but still, Jose will turn 39 (at least) in May, and he's a long shot to make the Opening Day roster. If he doesn't, he'll just drive south and likely hit .370 in Mexico again.
More Fantasy News
Jose has been diagnosed with a 25 percent tear of his left Achilles tendon, and he will not make the Diamondbacks' Opening Day roster, according to the team's official web site.
