FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

There are seven games Sunday, but they are spread throughout the day from 12:00 PM ET to 9:30 PM ET. For their "Main" contest schedule, FanDuel chose the five games starting at 5:00 PM ET. The article below will focus on those five games.

Russell Westbrook, OKC at DEN ($13,500): This spot is between Westbrook and James Harden, but Westbrook gets this spot because he has the impetus to go for a triple-double to break Oscar Robertson's all-time single-season record. Also, his opponents — the Nuggets — are pretty terrible at defending opposing perimeter players.

Devin Booker, PHO vs DAL ($8100): Booker has scored between 40 and 50 fantasy points in four of his last five games, and two weeks ago exploded for 91.6. The Suns have nothing to play for except the future, and they seem content running their offense through Booker and T.J. Warren of late.

Jamal Murray, DEN vs OKC ($3700): Murray is coming off scoring 43.3 fantasy points in his last game against the Pelicans. He has a tough matchup against Westbrook and a solid Thunder defense Sunday, but Murray may be the only healthy option at point guard for the Nuggets with Jameer Nelson already declared out and Emmanuel Mudiay questionable with a sprained ankle.

Nikola Jokic, DEN vs OKC ($10,100): Jokic has scored between 41.9 and 58.3 fantasy points in five straight games, and will have the motivation to play well with the Nuggets still clinging to playoff hopes. The Thunder have allowed the 10th most fantasy points to centers in the last 10 games.

T.J. Warren, PHO vs DAL ($6400): Warren missed one game this week with an illness, and only managed 14.9 in his return. But, outside of those two games, he has scored between 28 and 44.2 fantasy points in five straight games, including three games over 40. As mentioned above, the Suns seem content to run their offense through Devin Booker and Warren.

Larry Nance Jr., LAL vs MIN ($4300): Nance has scored between 28.2 and 37.3 fantasy points in three straight games. He had trouble with only 9.4 fantasy points the last time he faced the Timberwolves, but did produce 26.9 fantasy points in their meeting a week prior. He's part of the youth movement that should be on display in LA on Sunday.

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN at LAL ($10,200): Towns has faced the Lakers twice in the last two weeks. He scored 52.8 fantasy points the first time, and 48.8 the second. There's no real reason that Sunday should be any different.

Marc Gasol, MEM vs DET ($7700): Gasol is playing his way back into shape after an injury absence, and as of now, appears to be scheduled to play Sunday. The Grizzlies don't have anything to play for, but perhaps they want to let him get back in rhythm before the playoffs. He has scored 36.5 and 44.5 fantasy points in his last two games, and the last time he faced the Pistons he exploded for 38 points, five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals.

Alex Len, PHO vs DAL ($4700): Len has scored between 23 and 32 fantasy points in seven of his last 10 games. His other three games in that span were all under 16 fantasy points, but this gives him reasonable upside for a low-priced center option against a Mavericks team with nothing to play for.
