Gasser (shoulder) had nine points (3-7 FG, 3-7 3PT, 0-1 FT), three rebounds and two steals in Saturday's victory over Michigan.

Gasser sustained a shoulder injury earlier in the week, but still looked comfortable beyond the arc, converting a three-point attempt in each period of the game. The senior defensive specialist shouldn't be relied upon for major scoring numbers on most nights, but he'll at least see heavy minutes in the backcourt -- especially while Traevon Jackson (foot) remains on the shelf.

Gasser stepped up with three makes from beyond the three-point arc. His long-range shooting opened up the lane for his teammates Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker to score some points. What will not show up on the stat sheet directly was his defense on Nik Stauskas and limited Michigan's leading scorer to 11 points.

Gasser tore his ACL and will miss the season, CBS Sports reports.

Gasser had recently been named the starting point guard for the Badgers, so coach Bo Ryan is off to Plan B. That plan includes redshirt freshman George Marshall and sophomore Treavon Jackson. Swingman Ryan Evans could also facilitate the offense.
