Horford announced he will transfer to Florida, where he'll be eligible for the 2014-15 season, reports.

As a graduate transfer, Horford will be eligible to play immediately and he figures to help a Gators team dealing with the graduations of Patric Young and Will Yeguete. The younger brother of former Gators star Al Horford averaged 3.8 points and 4.2 rebounds for Michigan last season, playing just 13.8 minutes per game.

Horford appears to be leaning towards transferring to the Florida Gators, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reports.

Head coach Billy Donovan is very familiar with the Horford family after coaching big brother Al Horford to two NCAA Championships, so this move would make a lot of sense. While Jon is not the basketball player is older brother is, he could provide valuable depth on a Gators team that will graduate most of their frontcourt this offseason.

Horford plans to transfer from Michigan after graduating this May, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Horford was a steady member of Michigan's rotation this past season, averaging nearly 14 minutes per game. Although he only posted 3.8 points and 4.2 rebounds, Horford's experience will be hard for the Wolverines to replace.

Horford (foot) will be examined Monday to determine if he will be able to return to action for the Wolverines this season, reports.

He traveled with the team to Indiana this week but that shouldn't be read into too much. The fact that he can apply for a medical hardship waiver and not lose a year of eligibility will probably make the decision to sit the season out easier if the news on Monday is negative.

Horford is out with a stress fracture in his foot, the Detroit Free Press reports.

The injury is more significant to Michigan than it is to fantasy players, as Horford is Jordan Morgan's only backup at center. His absence creates a depth problem at the worst time, as Michigan enters Big Ten play.
