Allen will be out 8-10 weeks after landing awkwardly at the end of Tuesday's practice, reports.

Allen scored 16 points, including the game-winning free throws with 2.8 seconds remaining, against Duke on Saturday.

Allen committed eight turnovers and nearly threw the game away for Maryland, but redeemed himself in the closing seconds to lift the Terrapins to a marquee win. The freshman has notched double-figure scoring performances in three of his last four games and appears to be turning a corner in what has been an up-and-down freshman season.

Allen paced the Terrapins with a career-high 21 points Saturday in 94-71 victory over Virginia Tech.

Maryland was led by a pair of freshman, as Allen and teammate Jake Layman combined for 41 points Saturday. The emergence of these two underclassmen may not be a permanent fixture of the Terrapin offense, but is a good sign for Mark Turgeon's 13-1 squad.
