Grant put together another outstanding performance, finishing with 27 points (9-17 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 7-8 FT) to go with six assists, four rebounds and three steals in Wednesday's 79-78 overtime upset of No. 19 Michigan State.

Reaching the 20-point threshold for the fourth time in five games, Grant has been unstoppable over the past couple of weeks. During that stretch, he is averaging 22.0 points while shooting 61.7 percent from the field and 48.0 percent (12-25) from beyond the arc. The senior guard has definitely entered his name into the early-season Wooden Award discussion, as he has led the Irish to a 7-1 thus far.

Grant continues his stellar play for the Irish, as the senior guard is now averaging 18.4 points, 7.2 assists, 3.6 boards and 2.0 steals while shooting 56.7 percent from the field over the first five games of 2014-15.

Grant scored 15 points (7-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt) with eight assists and two rebounds in Notre Dame's blowout win over Coppin State on Wednesday.

Grant is now averaging 15.3 points and 7.7 assists this year, but it's tough to draw many conclusions from the three games he's played so far, since they have all been blowout wins. He will likely play about five more minutes per game going forward, which will lead to higher statistical averages over the whole season.

Grant (academics) was reinstated by Notre Dame on Wednesday, ESPN.com reports.

Grant was suspended for the entire spring semester due to an academic issue, preventing him from building on what had been a breakout season. He was averaging 19.0 points and 6.2 assists per game before he was suspended in December. Grant bypassed entering the 2014 NBA Draft in April and will have one more year of eligibility remaining.

Grant, will not declare for the NBA draft. Instead, he will return to Notre Dame for his final year, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reports.

Grant withdrew from school midway through last season due to an academic issue, so it was unclear if he would try to go pro this year, or if he would be eligible to return to South Bend next season. In 12 games last season, Grant averaged 19 points and 6.2 assists per game, and helped his team to a 8-4 record before leaving the team for the rest of the season.

Grant will miss the rest of the 2013-14 season due to an academic matter, ESPN.com reports. He was averaging a team-high 19.0 points and 6.2 assists.

Grant said via letter that he hopes to be readmitted to school after the 2014 spring semester. Without Grant, Eric Atkins will be the full-time point guard and get more assists, while Demetrius Jackson and freshman Steve Vasturia may get more opportunities as well.
