Scott had 17 points (5-12 FG, 5-7 FT) Saturday against Wake Forest.

Scott was held scoreless throughout the first half, as Miami managed just 29 points at halftime. Despite the second-half scoring barrage, Scott and the Hurricanes lost for the first time in conference play. In his previous three games, the senior guard had not shown the penchant for dominating games offensively as he had earlier this season. Scoring just 22 points combined in those three contests, perhaps Scott got the lift he needs to recover in the second half of Saturday's game.

The senior guard is Miami's leading scorer at 14.0 points per game. Despite an excellent night from the floor, Scott did not contribute much else in the box score. For a second straight game, Scott failed to connect from long distance. Nonetheless, his value to the team is as a scorer, so as long as the point production continues, he will continue to be an asset.

Scott led all scorers with 25 points (9-14 FG, 4-5 FT) to lead the Hurricanes past Duke on Wednesday.

Scott also added six rebounds, four assists and was remarkably efficient in helping to knock off the top-ranked Blue Devils. The 6-5 senior had been fairly quiet in Miami's first four conference wins, but came up large Wednesday. If his team is to continue its unbeaten run in the ACC, Scott must continue to perform at a high level.
